Overview
Our client wanted to develop a tablet application for the Android platform that enables customers to purchase mobile phones and accessories in any of their retail stores. They requested to have features like advanced search filters, location based searches, DU plans, deals and promotions. The client also wanted to integrate a swiping machine to allow the customers to purchase a mobile phone of their choice using one of the tablets with our app installed in it.
The Challenge
Client wanted multi-level filters so that customers could get to what they want very quickly.
Based on the geo location, the client wanted the customers to be able to find the availability of a mobile phone with the same DU plans & promotions in nearby stores or in the main hub location.
Support for complex Bundling of different items in the store.
The Solution
We built a tablet application using Android Studio, Kotlin & Android Java. We were able to provide an entire range of useful filters based on Brands & various technical specifications and product categories such as Mobile Phones, Tablets & Accessories. Based on the geo location of the store where the customer is currently at, if a specified product is not available with all the preferred choices then the app was able to fetch the requisite product from either a nearby store or the main hub location with all their preferred options. We offered ways for their customers to customize Promotions and Bundles, to get maximum savings thereby increasing the store sales drastically.
